KATHY BELL DENTON AUDIOBOOK NARRATOR

Laughing Kathy.jpg

Kathy Bell Denton, originally from Tennessee, has spent most of her professional career in California. Her first books took advantage of her Southern heritage, and she recently won an AudioFile Earphones Award for her part in narrating North Carolinian Jill McCorkle’s Old Crimes and other Stories, but her acting flexibility, family ties, and talent with accents have led her into voicing an international cast of characters. Great with romances, dark fantasy, and mysteries; her wry sense of humor illuminates even the driest text. She brings clarity to non fiction and joy to childrens’ literature.

She is a theatre actress with an MFA in acting from UCLA who has performed everything from classics, musicals, Shakespeare, to world premieres and brings an actor’s delight in language and storytelling strength to her work.

Kathy has been a teacher, a singer, an acting coach. She has done research and substantiation work for the health and medical division of SHM Publishing. Kathy has also participated annually in deposition training programs for attorneys. She is a member The Road Theatre, Classical Theatre Lab, and Collaborative Theatre Ensemble.

She has had the pleasure of working with audiobook publishers such as Hachette, John Marshall Media, Tantor, Crossroad Press, University Press, and Independent Authors and would love to work with you.

Elegant, warm & sexy. A versatile storyteller.
